Experience: Mr. Fuqua, one of the founders of the firm, is highly respected for his work in land use law and has been recognized by “The Lawyers In America ©” in the practice area of land use and zoning law for the past five years. His areas of concentration are Land Use Law (Zoning, Subdivisions, Variances), Real Estate (Residential & Commercial closings and refinancing) and Municipal Law.

Education: Tim has a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs with a Minor in Economics from George Washington University and attended the American College in Paris. His juris Doctor is from the Delaware Law School. He also studied international law in Europe through the Dickinson School of Law.

Experience: Before joining Fuqua, Willard & Schab, P.A. Tim was a Deputy Attorney General, prosecuting criminal cases in Sussex County for approximately 10 years. He is also a former Chairman of the Sussex County Democratic Executive Committee and has worked in the past for Senator Tom Carper, then Congressman and formerly Governor of Delaware. For 15 years he served as a Senate attorney for the Delaware Senate Majority Caucus. He is Managing Partner in the firm.

Practice: Tim’s practice has focused on real estate law including settlements and zoning. He practices in all Delaware State Courts and represents adults and juveniles charged with Felonies, Misdemeanors, Traffic Offenses, and DUI. In addition, he represents clients that are injured in automobile accidents and other personal injury claims.

Other: Tim was elected by the Episcopal Diocese of Delaware to serve as Chancellor for the Delaware Diocese. He also was appointed to serve on the Delaware Sentence Accountability Commission.

Bill Schab was raised in Annapolis, Maryland. Mr. Schab graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia in 1971 and University of Maryland Law School in 1974 and moved to Lewes in 1974 where he has lived there since.

Mr. Schab is licensed to practice law in Delaware and Maryland.

After work at Delaware Legal Aid, Mr. Schab joined Norman Barnett in 1982 and established Schab & Barnett a general practice firm with an emphasis on real estate related matters.  Messrs. Schab and Barnett joined Fuqua, Yori and Willard, P.A. in 2016, and the firm name was changed to Fuqua, Willard, Stevens and Schab, P.A.

Mr. Schab represents people who are buying, selling, refinancing, or building residential or commercial property. He also represents developers, builders, subcontractors, and suppliers as well as individual realtors and real estate companies. For several years, Mr. Schab has represented the Sussex County Association of Realtors and continues to represent the Association on an “as need” basis.  Mr. Schab also drafts wills and settles estates.

His real estate clients consist mainly of referrals from realtors, banks, mortgage companies, title insurance companies, builders, and other clients.

Education: James graduated from the University of Delaware in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Minor in Psychology. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Delaware Law School in 2022.

Experience: While at Delaware Law School, James was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity and the Tax and Estates Society. He also spent a semester working in the Veterans Law Clinic where he worked closely with veterans both from Pennsylvania and Delaware. James has worked in real estate and as well as estate work from the beginning of his legal career. He started in Maryland clerking at Brennan and Brennan and then moving to work at Lawyers Express Title. In 2022, James started clerking at Fuqua, Willard & Schab, P.A.. His are of focus is Real Estate Law, Estate and Will Drafting as well Civil and Contractual matters.
